‘Shark Tank’ Season 13: Meet the New + Returning Guest Sharks

Shark Tank season 13 is premiering in October, and ABC recently announced the names of the guest judges who will enter the tank. Along with the usual panel – Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John, and Kevin O’Leary – there will be five guest judges. One name will be familiar to fans as they are a returning guest shark; the other four are brand new to the show. Find out more about them below, including who they are and what they do.

Shark Tank Season 13: Meet the Guest Sharks

According to ABC, the one returning guest judge is Daniel Lubetzky, founder of KIND, aka: KIND Bars. Fans will remember Daniel from last season when he invested in Quevos, the flavorful egg-white based chip from Zack Schreier and Nick Hamburger. Season 11 saw him make a deal with Yellow Leaf, the hammock brand providing employment for weavers in Thailand. As of 2021, his net worth is estimated at $2.2 billion, according to Forbes.

A brand new guest in the Shark Tank is actor, investor, and entrepreneur Kevin Hart. As you probably know, Kevin’s been in a number of comedy films over the years. Some popular titles include Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and its sequel Jumanji: The Next Level; Think Like a Man, Ride Along, and its sequel Ride Along 2. In 2017, he founded Laugh Out Loud, a global media company, which has since expanded to include digital, audio, studio productions, and more.

Emma Grede is the CEO and co-founder of Good American with reality star Khloe Kardashian. In addition, she’s a founding partner of SKIMS, Kim Kardashian’s shape/lounge/underwear brand. Emma’s a board member for 15 Percent Pledge, a non-profit aiming to increase Black-owned businesses’ visibility by asking brands to pledge 15% of their space on shelves. She’s got 149,000 followers on Instagram, and when she’s not working, she’s spending time with her husband and kids.

Peter Jones is a British entrepreneur known for being the last original investor on BBC’s Dragon’s Den. He’s remained on the show since its 2005 start, and it’s gone on to air 18 seasons so far. On US television, Peter appeared on the reality show American Inventor. He has 4 kids: two from his first marriage, and two with his current partner, Tara. They live in Buckinghamshire, Southeast England. He posted to his Instagram regarding his Shark Tank debut, writing that he “can’t wait” for the show.

Last but not least is co-founder of neighborhood social networking system Nextdoor: Nirav Tolia. He served as CEO from 2010-2018 for the uber-successful company. Growing up in small-town Texas, he eventually went onto Stanford University before getting his start at Yahoo! Next, he co-founded companies like Fanbase.com and Epinions.com. According to his LinkedIn profile, he’s been working as an investor and advisor to companies like SurveyMonkey and Zillow since 2004. Currently, he, his wife, and their family live in Italy; they sold their San Francisco home in 2020.
