Daphne Oz College

Meet Daphne’s Husband & Children
Daphne’s been married to John Jovanovic since 2010. The two met in college at Princeton University. Daphne’s Princeton education actually inspired one of her cookbooks called The Dorm Room Diet. John received a degree in politics at Princeton, before moving on to get an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
They have been married for over a decade, and are very happy together. The couple has four children: three daughters, and one son. Philomena Bijou is the eldest daughter at 8 years old; son Jovan Jr. is 6 years old; followed by daughters Domenica Celine, age 4 and Giovanna “Gigi” Ines, age 2.
Daphne’s family is often a fixture on her Instagram. For example, in February they all celebrated Philomena’s 8th birthday. “Happy 8th birthday to our Philomena!!! ❤️❤️❤️ I can’t believe how lucky we are you brought your magic into our lives,” she captioned the adorable photo.
Oldest daughter Philomena is described by her mom as “brilliant, funny, creative, and oh so perceptive.” She likes crafts, ice cream cake, the ocean, rigatoni alla vodka and sushi.
Their son Jovan looks exactly like his dad, Daphne’s husband John. The trio even enjoyed a day out together in New York City. “cannot remember the last time Johnny Boy had both of us all to himself, but we had one free day up north and decided to take him for dumplings and his *first ever* fortune cookie!!? such a special day!! ❤️🙏,” the caption read.
If you ask Daphne about daughters Domenica and Giovanna, she’ll describe them as a “gravity-defying climber girl with a mischievous sneaky side” and a chatter box who “loves cookies” respectively.
Apparently when Daphne was filming season 8 of MasterChef Junior in 2019, she was pregnant with Gigi. Reminiscing about the moment on Instagram, she wrote: “thinking back to the summer of 2019 when the whole family moved out to LA with me so I could film my first season as a judge on @masterchefjunior ❤️ ALMOST everyone was much smaller then — and I was very, very pregnant with Gigi 😂 I can’t wait to hear what she thinks about her first TV gig, even if it was from my belly!!”
Daphne revealed to PEOPLE how important it is for her to spend quality time with her kids. “I want to get to know their personalities, their funny little senses of humor, the things that imprint and give them their best memories. When I can, I’ll sneak one away even for just 20 minutes of reading together or doing an art project or getting ice cream. It’s crazy how much those little moments matter,” she told the magazine.
She and husband John like to take their kids on “double date” nights when they can. Daphne took her daughter Philomena to the movies, while John took son Jovan to a Dolphins game. Check out the lovely photos below!
