Lifetime is continuing their “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” movie event with the premiere of My Sweet Holiday starring Malone Thomas. The holiday themed movie will even premiere on Christmas Day. If you want more details, from the full cast to the trailer, keep reading below.

My Sweet Holiday Cast + Plot

My Sweet Holiday follows Sadie (Malone Thomas) back to her parent’s house for Christmas (after her boyfriend cancelled their holiday). While there, Sadie discovers her parents have sold their chocolate store to someone who knows absolutely nothing about chocolate. Her father somehow convinces her to help the new owner, much to Sadie’s chagrin. While planning her parent’s retirement party, she discovers that things don’t have to be perfect — and she just might find love along the way.

Malone Thomas is an actress who’s had guest roles on shows like The Originals, Ozark, and Dynasty. Her upcoming series Psychosis is in pre-production. Jason Burkey (who plays the role of the new shop owner), is an actor that’s held recurring roles on shows like The Walking Dead and The Resident. Fans of Lifetime’s programs may also recognize him from the film You Can’t Take My Daughter. Fun fact: Jason and Malone have worked together once before! This movie marks their second time acting alongside each other.

Malone also took to Instagram to share the movie’s “poster,” where she and co-star Jason Burkey are featured. Another fun fact? Apparently the movie was originally called Chocolate Covered Christmas. It’s unclear exactly when Lifetime made the switch to My Sweet Holiday, but it had to have been within the last couple months.

They filmed the movie in August, and used a Kansas restaurant called rye kc for some of the scenes. Cinematographer Isaac Alongi, who did camera work on the film, posted a behind the scenes look, as well as the movie’s trailer.

Be sure to tune in to the premiere of My Sweet Holiday on Dec. 25 at 8/7 c, only on Lifetime.
