Kenny Ortega was honored for all his amazing work last week.
The famed director/producer was joined by many of his Hollywood co-workers for his big Walk of Fame ceremony. He is best known for his work on the popular Disney movie series, ‘High School Musical’ which created breakout stars Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron.
Most recently, he completed his work on another Disney movie series, ‘The Descendants’ starring Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, and the late Cameron Boyce. Fans even gathered for the ceremony on Wednesday, July 24th in Hollywood.
Kenny Remembers Cameron
Ortega spoke out about Boyce’s impact on the world. “Cameron Boyce was so excited for me and wanted to be here,” Ortega said. “His all too brief appearance in this life inspired me beyond words,” he continued.
“Many of us here and generations of kids and families all over this world. His extraordinary talent and loving heart will be remembered through the Cameron Boyce foundation,” the famed director revealed.
His career spans decades. Who remembers the popular 80’s movie ‘Dirty Dancing’ movie? Ortega was also responsible for choreographing the dances for Jennifer Gray and Patrick Swayze. Gray came out and spoke at the event and even showed off a dance move or two with her former choreographer.
