‘Sweet Pecan Summer’: Wes Brown & Christine Ko Star in New 2021 Hallmark Movie

Sweet Pecan Summer Plot + Cast

Sweet Pecan Summer follows Amanda (Christine Ko), who’s feeling unfulfilled at her cosmetics job. When her aunt Carol (Lauren Tom) calls and needs help selling her pecan farm, Amanda jumps at the chance to shake things up. Unbeknownst to her, Carol sneakily sets up Amanda’s ex-boyfriend J.P. (Wes Brown) to be the broker. He’s been working in real estate since his baseball career ended due to an injury. At first, the exes disagree at every turn about how to sell Amanda’s aunt’s pecan farm, but as they continue to work together, they grow closer. Is it enough to rekindle the spark they once had?

Christine Ko currently stars in the FXX series Dave, and was most recently seen in Netflix’s Tigertail film. Other credits to her name include a regular role in Amazon’s Upload, and a season arc on CBS’ Hawaii Five-0. Christine also starred in the web series Relationship Status alongside Milo Ventimiglia and Shawn Ashmore. She holds a degree from Georgia State University with a communications major and finance minor.

Wes Brown is a Hallmark movie fixture, having starred in numerous films such as Over the Moon in Love and Christmas at Graceland. His big break came before graduating from Louisiana State University, in the 2006 film Glory Road. Soon after, he began landing major roles like the one on True Blood. He had recurring roles on series like Hart of Dixie, 90210, and Trauma; series regular parts on Lifetime’s Beach Girls and NBC’s Deception.
