Hallmark Channel is churning out new movies even as summer winds down. One new film premiering August 21 is A Little Daytime Drama, starring Jen Lilley and Ryan Paevey. Neither lead is a stranger to Hallmark movie fans, so having them pair up for this feature is sure to be spectacular. A Little Daytime Drama: Plot + Cast
A Little Daytime Drama follows Maggie (Jen Lilley), lead writer of a daytime soap opera that’s in danger of being cancelled. To save the show, creator Alice (Linda Dano) decides to bring back fan-favorite star Darin (Ryan Paevey). But, Darin also happens to be Maggie’s ex-boyfriend, not to mention, when he left the show, she wrote out his character. Can Maggie convince Darin to return and save the show, as well as their careers?
Not only are Jen Lilley and Ryan Paevey Hallmark fixtures, but they also starred in notable soap operas Days of Our Lives and General Hospital, respectively. Fans may recognize Jen from Snowkissed or USS Christmas, and Ryan from Christmas at the Plaza or Don’t Go Breaking My Heart. Linda Dano is known for her work on soaps, and for presenting on QVC.

Remember, there’s a soap opera at the center of the Hallmark movie, as Jen’s character is the head writer, and Ryan’s character is the leading man.
