Antonela Roccuzzo is married to Argentinian soccer player Lionel “Leo” Messi. Antonela and Leo have known each other since childhood, but did not start dating until later in their lives after reconnecting. They have been together since 2008, and got married in 2017. She, too, is Argentinian, and was born in Rosario, Argentina.
Antonela is Christian and while she’s not Spanish, she speaks Spanish, the official language of Argentina. She does speak English as well. Antonela’s cousin is also Leo’s childhood best friend, so that’s how they knew each other for so long, since they would all hang out together. Although their friendship was strained because of Messi moving away to train, they found their way back to each other and eventually fell in love. Distance couldn’t keep them apart, and Leo admires everything about Antonela, so marriage was the next step in the right direction for them.

Do They Have Children?
Now, they are proud parents with three children named Thiago, Mateo and Ciro. Antonela is Messi’s first and only wife. They have a love story for the ages: from childhood friends to lifelong sweethearts.
Despite his vast career, Leo Messi isn’t the highest paid athlete. That title would go to Cristiano Ronaldo, who according to Forbes’ 2023 list made $136 million. Messi does come in second place though, earning $130 million. Fitting, considering Leo and his family just made a major move for his career. In July 2023, Antonela and Leo moved with their three sons to Miami, Florida. This is because Leo joined David Beckham’s Inter Miami FC team, PEOPLE reported.
35-year-old Antonela is adjusting to the USA just fine, continuing her influencer deals with brands like Casetify and Alo. She boasts 36.2 million Instagram followers, and it’s the sole social media platform she has. As if that weren’t impressive enough, Roccuzzo has done modeling, and opened a footwear boutique in Barcelona called Sarkany in 2017, per Marca.

She also has amazing style. When she’s not working, she keeps it casual yet chic, wearing matching sets or staples like jeans and tees. Some other examples of her style include leggings with matching crop tops, as well as shorts or skirts with matching tanks in colors like black and blue. Antonela will sometimes throw in a pop of color to her wardrobe, especially when dressing up, such as pink pants or a green dress, for example. No matter what she wears, it’s never overdone and always put together.
