Spring is here, and no one’s more ready than Hallmark Channel. Their annual “Spring Fling” event features all-new films, including the premiere of Don’t Go Breaking My Heart. The movie has a stellar cast, a great plot, and that heartwarming touch fans are familiar with. If you want to learn more, like who’s in the cast, what it’s about, plus see a trailer and some photos, keep reading below.

Don’t Go Breaking My Heart Plot + Cast

Don’t Go Breaking My Heart follows Miranda’s (Italia Ricci) Breakup Boot Camp, which is a place for the brokenhearted to feel better. In one of her groups is Ben (Ryan Paevey), a journalist who says he’s only there to be moral support for his sister. Although he says he has no problems due to his recent breakup, Miranda keeps pushing to see if she can help. What she doesn’t know is that Ben’s undercover: he’s assigned to write about Miranda’s program and judge if it’s the real deal, or fake. As they grow closer, his secret threatens their budding relationship – so, is it over for these once brokenhearted people before it even started?

Italia Ricci is an actress best known for her roles on Chasing Life and Designated Survivor. She had guest roles on shows like CSI: Las Vegas, Greek, House, and How I Met Your Mother. Hallmark fans will know her from the films Love in Winterland and Rome in Love. Her next project is a starring role in a new TV series. When she’s not working, she’s spending time with her family. She’s married to fellow actor Robbie Amell, and they have a son together.

Ryan Paevey is a relatively new actor in the business, getting his big break in 2013 on General Hospital. He’s no stranger to Hallmark Channel movies though. You’ll know him from Unleashing Mr. Darcy, Harvest Love, Friend to Fiancé, and Christmas at the Plaza, just to name a few. Recently, he starred in Hallmark’s Matching Hearts and A Timeless Christmas. When he’s not on a set, you can find him exploring the outdoors or enjoying all things technology related.

Any other details?

Ahead of the premiere, Hallmark Channel has released a trailer for Don’t Go Breaking My Heart. You can see it below:

They filmed in Vancouver, Canada. What’s interesting about this movie is that they got to film outdoors quite a bit, as opposed to on sets or stages. A forest backdrop is used for many of the bootcamp scenes.

Italia and Ryan both posted about the movie to their Instagrams. Italia showed fans a film still featuring she and Ryan, telling them that if leather pants, Ryan, and street meat wouldn’t make them want to watch the movie, she didn’t know what would. Speaking of Ryan, he reminded his followers using a promotional photo at the one week mark to check it out. See both of their posts below:
