Andrea Barber Appears as Principal Willingham on Nickelodeon’s That Girl Lay Lay
Andrea Barber has been recurring on Nickelodeon’s That Girl Lay Lay since the pilot episode last year. Her character of Principal Willingham is the head of the school, often getting into fun situations, such as cheerleading, dressing up in costume and apparently, meeting rap stars like DMC!
Andrea posted about tonight’s new episode on Instagram, writing: “Why am I wearing a formal gown standing next to the amazing rap legend @kingdmc? 😎Tune into an all new @nickthatgirllaylay on Thursday at 7:30p! 🎤🎶 @nickelodeon.” If you go off the episode description, then the formal outfits and special guests may be for the talent show fundraiser at the high school.

We also found Andrea’s first post about That Girl Lay Lay, when she wrapped the pilot as Principal Willingham. “I feel like I’ve been infused with a triple dose of life, love, and laughter after a week on this incredible show. Feeling very, very grateful💕,” she wrote on Instagram back in April 2021. Since the show’s now in its second season, safe to say it’s been a hit for Nickelodeon!
Andrea Barber’s New GAC Movie Christmas on Candy Cane Lane
In addition to her role on That Girl Lay Lay, Andrea’s currently filming a new holiday movie for GAC (Great American Country, also known as GAC Family). It’s called Christmas on Candy Cane Lane, and gives fans a mini Full House reunion since Candace Cameron Bure is producing! Dan Payne also stars.
Recently, Andrea got to meet Sheila Roberts, author of the book the film is based on. “A special day on the set of Christmas on Candy Cane Lane! 🎄We got a visit from Sheila Roberts, author of the novel on which our movie is based. And what did she bring for all of us? Homemade candy cane-shaped cookies, naturally! ❤️💚,” she wrote.
Dan took to Instagram to share his excitement over the film too, writing: “It’s definitely Christmas on Candy Cane Lane! The ‘gift’ is getting to work with @andreabarber and @christiewillwolf on this @gactv movie! Can’t wait for you to get to see this one! 🎄🎅🏻🎄
