She may have a “love and hate relationship” with LA, but Kelsea Ballerini was certainly inspired by California when it came to her beachy, fresh makeup look. The country singer even filmed a YouTube video to show her fans how they could achieve the makeup for themselves – and it’s perfect for summer! Keep reading below for all the details, including where you can buy the products Kelsea uses!
Get the “LA” Look: Makeup Breakdown
Kelsea’s makeup look is fresh and natural, with glowing skin, easy eyes, and a pretty polished lip. It was inspired by her song “LA” and features that perfect beachy vibe that a lot of people aspire to have during the summer.
Kelsea also said that she likes to keep her skincare and makeup products as natural as she can, without all those crazy chemicals, as those can irritate the face. It makes sense if you think about it, as your skin needs a chance to breathe in the warmer weather of summertime.
“LA” Inspired Makeup: Product List
Kelsea started by prepping her skin to create a perfect canvas to apply foundation and concealer on top of. Sunkissed skin is next, and she favors creamier products over powders to keep that glow.
She keeps it light with her eyeshadow, adding a bit definition to her eyes. She normally plays up her eyes and sticks to a nude lip, as that’s her “go-to” look. A little eyeliner and mascara, plus a pretty nude-pink lip, and her look is complete. Keep reading for a full product list!

LORAC’s Front of the Line PRO Eye Pencil in “Dark Brown” halfway on her bottom lash lines and on the outer corner of her top lash lines to define her eyes even further; she smudges it out with her finger
