Hosted by “Black-ish” star Anthony Anderson ABC’s “To Tell the Truth” is a remake of the network’s 1956 hit show. In the show, three contestants will all claim to be the same person and the celebrity panelists will have to decide who best matches the description given. A new episode is premiering on Thursday, July 9.
This episode will feature actress Yara Shahidi, actor Jeremy Sisto, actress and comedian Michelle Buteau, and comedian Russell Peters.
Yara Shahidi recently discussed her generation’s thoughts about identities in an interview with Net-A-Porter. Yara says “so where do we, Gen Z, go from here? I have no clue… But I eagerly await the efforts of our compound voices and I look forward to the home we build. A home where we lose the rhetoric of coming together in spite of our differences, but we intentionally unite because of them.”
Jeremy Sisto has started a series on his Instagram called “#alonetogether” in which the actor talks with his followers about staying positive and reading books to them and his daughter. He is currently reading “Little Women” by Louisa May Alcott.
Michelle Buteau finished her novel ‘Survival of the Thickest.’ She premiered the cover of the book on her Instagram at the beginning of May. The book is full of comedic essays she wrote. It is set to be released in December 2020.
This episode’s contestants will feature an original Chippendale dancer, a house-flipper, a princess costume designer, a professional armpit sniffer and a parkour champion.
