Elliana Walmsley of ‘Dance Moms’ to Play Lead in Nutcracker

Elliana Walmsley, one of the minis on Lifetime’s hit TV show, “Dance Moms” was just cast in an iconic role.  Dance teacher, Abby Lee Miller shared her excitement on Instagram saying, “So incredibly proud of Elliana Walmsley.  She is loving playing the lead in #dancedivas #nutcracker ?❤️ So much more to come from this young lady.”

Elliana will play Gracie in the upcoming production of Dance Divas Nutcracker on 42nd Street in New York City.  

What is Dance Divas Nutcracker about?

The production centers around a group of young dancers following their dreams.  Sisters, Scarlett and Gracie are so excited to hear a famous ballet academy is looking for someone to play the lead role of Clara in the Nutcracker.  To older sister Scarlett’s surprise, her younger sister Gracie wins the role with her bubbly energy and huge smile.  The dancers learn a lesson in working together as a team that can get them through anything!

Elliana took to Instagram at the end of November when rehearsals started for Dance Divas Nutcracker showing her excitement for the new role.  She said, “So it begins…I’m in NYC and ready for my first day of rehearsals! Couldn’t be more excited for The World Premiere of Dance Divas Nutcracker! ??????❤️ Thank you to so many who believed and me and support my dream!”
