Everyone’s favorite game show is back this summer! Celebrity Family Feud season 8 will premiere this July 10, 2022 and fans are excitedly awaiting its return. According to ABC, “the eighth season of “Celebrity Family Feud” kicks off with the cast from ABC’s breakout hit show “Abbott Elementary” playing against the cast of “Hacks.” In the next game, actor Kal Penn goes head-to-head with actor Erika Christensen to see who comes out on top in the hilarious season premiere episode.”

Meet the Teams of Celebrity Family Feud Season 8 Premiere
“Team Abbott Elementary” includes:
- Quinta Brunson
- Lisa Ann Walter
- Sheryl Lee Ralph
- Ms. Joyce Abbott
- Tyler James Williams
They are playing for DonorsChoose. Abbott Elementary is one of the breakout shows of the season, with Quinta Brunson creating and starring in the mockumentary series about faculty at a Philadelphia school. Her co-stars are playing on her Celebrity Family Feud team. Fans may know Tyler James Williams from Everybody Hates Chris, or perhaps remember Lisa Ann Walter as Chessy in the 1998 version of The Parent Trap.
“Team Hacks” includes:
- Jean Smart
- Christopher McDonald
- Poppy Liu
- Mark Indelicato
- Rose Abdoo
They are playing for Feeding America. Hacks centers on the professional relationship between a comedy writer and stand-up comedienne. It won lead actress Jean Smart an Emmy and Golden Globe award in 2021 and 2022 respectively. With 2 seasons already on HBO Max, the series was renewed for a third in June 2022.

They are playing for Baby2Baby. Kal Penn is known for his various acting roles in shows like House and Designated Survivor. On the film side of things, his most notable role is Kumar in the Harold and Kumar franchise. Aside from his Hollywood ventures, he worked under former President Barack Obama’s administration as Principal Associate Editor in the White House Office of Public Engagement.

- Cole Maness – husband
- Kim Hendricks – aunt

- Monet Hendricks – cousin
They are playing for The Cameron Heyward Foundation. Erika Christensen is an actress whose filmography includes Traffic, Swimfan, The Perfect Score, and Flightplan. She is married to Cole Maness, and they have two children: 6 year old Shane and 3 year old Polly.
