Andi Dorfman is turning her hobby into a healthy way to help with charities! The former Bachelorette recently spoke with Us Weekly on how she’s getting ready for the New York City Marathon. The Marathon will be happening on November 3rd, 2019.
“I start training this week, which is so crazy to me. The marathon is 26 miles, I haven’t even fully wrapped by head around that, yet.” The New York Times Best Seller shared with the magazine. Dorfman shared that she started her journey by running four to six miles around the city to “soak in the scenery” of sunsets and kids in the park. Now she plans to quadruple her max of six miles.
Her weekly schedule is running four to five days a week as intervals to get ready for the race. Dorfman shares that her motivation for running is to help charities and she’s currently talking to a few she’s interested in representing. She did not give names of the ones she’s interested in.
“I love people who Instagram story themselves running and they’ll tag me or they’ll send me a message and they’ll be like, ‘Wow this is so motivational and so inspirational’,” she shared while also explaining that she didn’t see herself as a runner up until now.
As Feeling The Vibe reported in January 2018, she shared in her book Single State of Mind how the move from her hometown of Atlanta, Georgia to NYC was like for her in terms of living and dating. She has not been linked to anyone romantically since her split in January 2015 from ex and Bachelorette 10th season winner, Josh Murray. Whatever she decides to do next, we’ll be behind her!
