Hallmark Channel is continuing its New Year, New Movies event with the premiere of A Winter Getaway, starring Nazneen Contractor and Brooks Darnell. The film is not only set against a stunning winter backdrop, but has all the heart you’d expect from a Hallmark movie. A Winter Getaway: Plot + Cast

A Winter Getaway centers around a literal average Joe (Brooks Darnell), who’s gifted a luxurious resort stay by one of his wealthy friends. While there, he gets concierge service from Courtney (Nazneen Contractor), and the two begin to grow close during his stay. But, as it goes, all good things must come to an end. So, when Joe’s winter getaway is up, will he and Courtney be able to keep their potential romance going?

Hallmark fans will know Nazneen Contractor, as she recently starred in the 2020 holiday movie The Christmas Ring. Prior to that, she held lead roles on Ransom and the Canadian drama series The Border. Nazneen’s guested on shows like Chicago PD, Law & Order: SVU, and Revenge, plus recurred on 24.

Brooks Darnell is no stranger to the holiday movie circuit either. In fact, you may have seen him this past year in Lifetime’s Let’s Meet Again on Christmas Eve or in Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ 2019 film, A Christmas Miracle. Other credits to his name include episodes of Shadowhunters and The Young & the Restless, plus guest spots on Nikita and Bones.
