Easy, breezy, beautiful is pretty much YouTube star Summer McKeen‘s beauty philosophy. The California girl is all about simplicity when it comes to her routine, and it seems to be working for her – just look at her beachy hair and glowy skin for proof! If you’re wondering how she achieves her natural look, we have the breakdown of her beauty routine below: skincare, makeup, and hair must-haves included!
Summer swears by coconut oil to remove makeup and to help moisturize her skin. She’s partnered with Sephora Collection (SC) for a while now, and she loves their easy to use skincare products, like their new Clean Skin line.
She prefers using all-purpose products that act as a skincare/makeup hybrid. RMS’ Living Luminizer is an example that not only helps give the skin a glow, but acts as a boost for any highlight you may put overtop.
MAKEUP & HAIR
A few of her all-time favorite makeup products? Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer, Loreal’s Miss Manga Mascara, and Lypsyl Lip Balm. She recently collaborated with Maybelline New York on a limited edition lip gloss line, so you can bet she uses them on the daily! Summer generally rocks a nude lip regardless of what eye makeup she wears, so the collection’s 6 shades are reflective of that.
As for her hair, she usually wears it natural (which is mostly straight with a slight bend), or gravitates towards loose curls when she wants to “glam things up.” But she’s also a fan of messy updos; she doesn’t like to look too overdone. Summer uses TreSemme’s Dry Shampoo to refresh her hair between washes and to help her styles stay put.
By the looks of her beauty collabs, not to mention her amazing YouTube Channel, it’s no wonder Summer’s nominated for Teen Choice Award — check out the full list of nominees here! If you want to get a glimpse of Summer’s daily beauty style, be sure to follow her on Instagram (@summermckeen).
