However, when the Puerto Rican, singer, Jennifer Lopez, fiercely-danced her way into the industry, she embraced her beauty and opened yet another door; becoming the first woman to have a number one album and film in one week.
Through the success of her first leading role in debut studio album On the 6, her various tours throughout the world–for J.Lo, This is Me…Then, and Shades of Blue–and raising a family, Jenny from the block seems to be aging backwards and she looks amazing doing it. As per said by Lopez’s biggest beauty influence and very first makeup artist, Kevyn Aucoin, “play with it–it’s just makeup.” Whether she’s inspired by her emotions or by what she’s wearing, the singer has never shy. J.Lo told InStyle, “You can do all kinds of crazy things and then wash it off and start over.”

Growing up in the Bronx, NY, Jennifer Lopez’s style from her big hoops, to her Timberlands, to her “bun-on-top-of-her-head” style is all very “Puerto Rican Bronx.” Lopez says growing up, she always felt like a tomboy and never felt feminine enough, but that didn’t stop her. Instead, she continued to go against the grain by unapologetically embracing her curves and culture.
Morning workouts are one of the key factors to her youthful glow. She says that working out in the morning loosens her up, makes her happy, and keeps her strong!

Who knew, this would be the first makeup line for the bronzed goddess, which launched in Macy’s on April 26, 2018. According to Harpers BAZAAR, the collection is “massive”, consisting of 70 different pieces including matte lipsticks, highlighters, and nail polish.
On an appearance on ‘Dr Oz,” JLo looked radiant and shared her top secrets with his audience. “Believe it or not, it does help keep your weight down,” she says. “For me, it just feels good. It’s mostly what I drink all day.”
We all know just how busy JLo’s schedule really is. When she was asked how much sleep she gets per night, Lopez says she tries to get between 6 and 8 but she confessed, “I love 11 if I could ever get it!”
Daily Meditation and Affirmations
Beauty really does come from the inside out. JLo is a big believer on meditation and affirmations. “We don’t even realize it but we operate on such negative thoughts all the time,” she tells Dr. Oz. “So much of what goes on in our minds and subconscious is negative,” she explains.
How does she overcome the negative thoughts?
“When I started paying attention to my thoughts, I changed them. I said thank you for sharing that brain but I am doing well, I am trying.” Lopez says it’s very important to replace negative thoughts with positive ones and you will start shining from the inside out!
