It’s the end of the road for Chrisley Knows Best star Savannah Chrisley and her hockey player fiancé Nic Kerdiles. After taking some time away from the wedding plans in fall 2019, the couple have decided to call it quits for good. Get more details on their split below.
As we said above, in October 2019, Savannah told PEOPLE that she and Nic had taken some time away from the wedding plans. She assured her fans that they were still engaged, and very much together. Savannah told the magazine that they were “taking their time” with the engagement.
They were talking things through, working on getting to know each other in that engaged space. Communication was key to them taking some time to themselves. Apparently taking some time turned into taking time apart.
If you’ve been following Savannah’s social media activity, then you’ll know that before her breakup announcement, the last photo she posted of Nic was back in June. So, what prompted the breakup announcement?
Savannah posted to her Instagram account on Tuesday that she and Nic had called off their engagement. She insisted that there’s no hate between she and Nic, they simply were going their separate ways.
She candidly wrote, “We have nothing but love, respect, and admiration for one another but it’s time for us to move forward individually.” It sounds like she needs to carve out her own path again, and that’s understandable. It’s good to know that the two are making the mature, mutual decision to split if it’s what’s best for them.

She wrote, “You’ve all been wondering…so here it is:
Oh how I wish this smile was on my face and that infectious laugh was spewing out of my body right now…but sadly it’s not. Nic and I have decided to call it quits. There’s no hatred between the two of us…and in all honesty…that makes saying goodbye even harder. We have nothing but love, respect, and admiration for one another but it’s time for us to move forward individually. These past 3 years have been some of the best years of my life…but I have to trust that God has a far greater purpose for my life…I believe that He will take this hardship and make something beautiful out of it. Now please be kind with this news that I am sharing…”
