Jana Kramer’s personal life has been in the news quite a bit lately. The Lifetime movie star and One Tree Hill alum recently made headlines again with a new relationship. Her boyfriend’s name is Ian Schinelli, and the couple are happier than ever together. Keep reading below to learn more about Ian, including his occupation and family life.
1) He worked as a personal trainer. Still making time to workout regularly, Ian especially enjoys CrossFit training. According to his LinkedIn, he’s now a Portfolio Manager.
2) Like Jana, he has a daughter. She’s been “a true blessing in disguise” and he couldn’t imagine life without her. Ian wrote a touching Instagram post about his daughter: “There is something uniquely special about being a father to a little girl. She is undoubtedly what has made me the happiest over the last couple years and certainly the last few months! She’s incredibly sweet and caring and always down for adventures.”
3) He was a Navy Seal. He graduated 11 years ago, and began serving in his 20s. It was “Truly a blood, sweat and tear chapter in my 20s. Met some of the best guys I’ll ever know in the Teams and I think about them nearly everyday,” he wrote in a commemorative Instagram post.
4) He’s 36 and originally from Chicago, Illinois. But, if you go by his bio, he’s currently in Nashville, Tennessee. He’s also super close with his mom, and they went out for Mother’s Day last year in Franklin, TN. Check out the super-sweet Instagram post below:
5) He and Jana met in fall of 2021 at a party. According to US Weekly, Jana revealed on her Whine Down podcast that she saw Ian and thought he was cute, but didn’t make a move yet. It wasn’t until Andrew East, who’s married to Olympian Shawn Johnson, came over to her and said there’s a guy he thought she should meet. The guy Andrew wanted Jana to meet was in fact, Ian. After that, they kept things low-key, not going public with their romance until January.
Ian’s been gushing about his girlfriend Jana on social media too. He posted a Valentine’s Day tribute to her, writing: “Find someone who looks at you like this and laughs with you like that. Hearts Full ❤️ #myvalentine #valentines #valentine.”
