Fantasy Island is back and better than ever. The hit FOX series returned for season 2 on January 2 with an all-new episode. Led by Roselyn Sanchez as Elena Roarke, the series continues to show people that their wildest dreams can come true on the island. Fantasy Island Season 2 Plot
In the season 2 premiere, fans saw Elena (Roselyn Sanchez) and Javier’s (John Gabriel Rodriguez) romance heat up, while Ruby (Kiara Barnes) and her partner Gina cooled things off. The guests on the island included longtime friends Tara (Rachael Harris) and Jessica (Cheryl Hines), as well as cat owner Andi (Jasika Nicole).
FOX’s official synopsis for episode 2, titled ‘Hurricane Helene/The Bachelor Party,‘ reads: “In the wake of her mother’s passing, Helene visits the Island in search of her biological father. She thinks he might just be one of the guys who’s come to celebrate a Bachelor Party. Roarke and Javier grow closer, while Ruby gives herself a spiritual cleanse with a bonfire and a night swim, where she encounters an old friend.”
Guest stars include Queer Eye‘s Jai Rodriguez and The Walking Dead‘s Alexa Mansour, as well as Frankie J Alvarez (Looking) and Izzy Diaz (Broke).
Overall, season 2 will focus primarily on each guest’s personal quest, mission, wish, or desire, and show how the island can fulfill it or meet that need. But, things are never easy in Fantasy Island, so of course some things come with a price. As mentioned above, relationships will also have their fair share of screen time, including progress in Elena’s relationship with Javier, and potential connections for Ruby post-Gina. Pair enticing romance, intriguing characters and a stunning location, and you’ve got a picture-perfect show going into season 2.
Who’s in the Cast for Season 2 of Fantasy Island?
Returning for season 2 are Roselyn Sanchez as Elena Roarke, Kiara Barnes as Ruby and John Gabriel Rodriguez as Javier. In addition to the aforementioned guest stars, Jonathan Bennett, Lynn Whitfield, Andy Richter, as well as James Denton and Teri Hatcher will all make appearances in season 2.
