An all-new episode of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire will air on Wednesday, Jan. 6, and it’ll feature a couple new celebrity contestants too. The ABC game show hosted by Jimmy Kimmel already had one celebrity winner last year: restauranteur David Chang. So, will there be another? If you’re curious to learn more about the episode, including who’s going to be featured, keep reading below.
Who will be competing on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
Actor Zachary Quinto and TV personality Karamo Brown will be joining the episode, playing for The Marsha P. Johnson Institute and the Hollywood Food Coalition, respectively.
It looks like Zachary’s colleague at his production company, Before the Door Pictures, Marie Nikolova, will also be seen on the episode. Considering she’s a development executive, she would definitely be a good resource if Zachary needed one!
Queer Eye star and interior designer Bobby Berk will be featured alongside Karamo Brown during the episode, so perhaps he’s the “lifeline” contestants normally utilize.
What have Zachary & Karamo been up to?
As was mentioned above, Zachary Quinto runs his own production company called Before the Door Pictures. He inked a deal with AMC in 2019, which stemmed from his role on their show NOS4A2. He’s also developing programming for different channels, from podcasts to unscripted series with Spoke Studios. He’s known for his role of Sylar on NBC’s Heroes, and for portraying Spock in the Star Trek films.
Karamo Brown first rose to prominence on the MTV reality show, The Real World: Philadelphia, where he was the first openly gay Black man to be cast. Since then, he’s gone on to work on the Netflix series, Queer Eye as the resident culture expert. You may have also spotted him in an episode of Netflix’s Selling Sunset, or on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.
You can catch Zachary Quinto and Karamo Brown on the all-new episode of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire airing Jan. 6 at 8 PM, only on ABC.
