Regis Philbin was the original host of the hit game show, ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire‘ which first aired in 2000.
Now that they are airing their 20th anniversary by celebrating with a new series of episodes hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, we wanted to dive in and see where the original host is now.
Regis Philbin is currently 88 years old and he’s not slowing down. TV Insider just reported that he will be guest starring on a new episode of ABC’s “Single Parents.” He will portray himself on the April 15th episode called “Oh Dip, She’s Having a Baby.”
The series was co-created by his very own daughter, JJ Philbin.
Regis filmed his last episode of the morning talk show, Live with Regis and Kelly in 2011. Since, he has had various TV roles. He guest starred in Hot in Cleveland, Odd Couple, and most recently an episode of Fresh Off the Boat in 2019.
Regis also joins Rachael Ray on her morning talk show at times.
He is still happily married to his wife, Joy Philbin of almost 50 years! He splits his time between his home in Greenwich, Connecticut to his condo in Beverly Hills and apartment on the Upper West side.
