Is love in the air for The Hills: New Beginnings‘ Brandon Thomas Lee and Big Little Lies‘ Kathryn Newton? The two have been spotting spending a lot of time together over the last week or so, but what does that mean for their relationship status? Find out all the details below!
New Beginnings for Brandon
First thing’s first, if you’re an avid Hills: New Beginnings viewer, then you might be wondering how Brandon could possibly be dating Kathryn when he just brought his model girlfriend Ashley home to meet his family on last week’s episode.
To clarify, The Hills: New Beginnings is filmed anywhere from 6-10 months before it actually airs. For this particular season of the MTV reality show, they began filming in fall of 2018, whereas the show premiered in June 2019. So, what you are seeing onscreen isn’t reflective of the current time period, meaning that Brandon and Ashley must have ended things a while ago. The pair met before filming officially began, but then (as we’ve seen play out) obviously allowed cameras to capture their relationship as it progressed.
So, what does this mean for Kathryn?
As far as his relationship with Kathryn is concerned, the Hills star was spotted out to dinner with her last week, according to E! News. More recently, the two were spotted out in LA on Wednesday August 21, leaving Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Santa Monica.
Despite their current dinner dates, the duo actually met each other last summer when they danced at the amFAR Dinner in Paris, France. The two were seen getting to know each other at that event, but nothing came of it due to the hectic schedules of their respective shows. Neither Brandon or Kathryn have posted about their relationship on social media (as a lot of celebrities do today), but maybe they have a good reason: not everyone wants to share everything online with the world. Besides, it seems like they are just starting to reconnect, so give it some time and we may just have an official new couple by summer’s end!
