Did I do that? You sure did! For the loyal Fuller House fans who watched closely in season 3b, you might have noticed DJ and Stephanie make a reference to the beloved comedic character of “Steve Urkel” from Family Matters.
DJ Tanner-Fuller made a statement about Urkel in season 3b saying, “I wonder who else we can track down. I wonder what Urkel’s up to.”
Steve Urkel (played by Jaleel White) made an appearance in the original ‘Full House’ in 1991 on season 4.
Full House creator Jeff Franklin said to TVLine, “I loved when Urkel was on Full House, so I’d love to see him back on Fuller House.” He mentions he still has a friendship with Jaleel and that it has been discussed.

Steve Urkel was an iconic character in the 1990’s and Jaleel has not played the role he is famous for ever since Family Matters went off the air in 1998.
Franklin says, “It’s a really big deal for Jaleel to bring this character back, so I’m not sure that he wants to — but if he does decide to, this would be a great way for him to reprise the character.” He added, “We have some fun ideas, so we’ll see how that shakes out.”
Jaleel still keeps in contact with Candace Cameron Bure as well. She recently thanked Jaleel for sending her a video on Instagram. See below.
