Selena Gomez has got it all: singer, producer, beauty founder, and now, she can officially add successful chef to her resumé. Her quarantine-based cooking show for HBO MAX, Selena + Chef, has been renewed for a second season, according to Deadline. Get more details on what season 2 could look like below!
First off, a refresher on what Selena’s cooking show is about:
If you don’t have access to HBO at the moment, then you may not have been able to catch up on the first season of Selena Gomez’s cooking show. Selena + Chef follows Selena on her cooking journey, as she learns new recipes, not to mention got help from some masterful chefs, including Candice Kumai and Daniel Holzman.
Fans got to see inside the star’s kitchen, as well as get a feel for how things have been going for her in these chaotic times. Oh, and did we mention her friends and family got to join in on the fun? How awesome is that! As Feeling the Vibe reported earlier this year, Selena’s never been one to be short on personality, so the show really became a hit thanks to that relatable feeling. It was as if you were just hanging out and cooking with a friend! Take a look at the trailer below to see for yourself:
So, what can fans expect for season 2?
Selena + Chef season 2 will of course feature Gomez in her kitchen, but with a whole new slew of recipes. The RARE Beauty founder will up her level of difficulty too, which will in turn improve her skills. She told HBO that she’s “looking forward to challenging myself in the kitchen on the next season.” She will be joined by even more notable chefs, who will still discuss the important charities while they work. No word on the names yet, but if it’s anything like the 10 episodes in season 1, we’re sure it’ll be a great time!
Selena highlighted a lot of worldly cuisines during the first season of her HBO show, so perhaps season 2 can see her take to her roots. Die-hard fans know how much she loves her Tex-Mex food, so why couldn’t she try and whip some up? Or, maybe there’s a way to put a professional spin on a dish she already loves. No matter what Selena ends up cooking, it’ll be an enjoyable experience not only for Gomez herself, but for her fans too.
