Selena Gomez is Elle Magazine’s Cover Girl for the October 2018 issue and we have a sneak peek inside!
She has reached many new chapters in her life at only 26 years old.
A new album, a new home, a new job and ultimately a new life.
Sel, the most followed person on Instagram sat down with Elle Magazine to talk about how it feels to be 26, her friendship with Demi Lovato, and so much more.
Selena has been working on new music (Yay!) and is talking about one of the songs on her upcoming album, ‘Flawless.’
Her last album, ‘Revival‘ was released 3 years ago in 2015.
Though the album hasn’t been named yet, her song ‘Flawless‘ is surely to be one of her new hits.
Selena reveals the meaning behind the song. ‘Through all your imperfections, you’re flawless,” she says.
If Selena could give advice to her younger self, it would be through this song. “You’re not striving. It’s me encouraging a younger version of myself. Even when you’re imperfect, even when you’re feeling worthless, you are flawless,” she reveals.
She admits, “It’s a song I’m going to sing for the rest of my life.”
After Selena’s best friend from childhood, Demi Lovato, was recently in the news for being hospitalized after an overdose, everyone was waiting to hear from Selena.
She breaks her silence to Elle Magazine.
“All I’m saying is, I reached out personally. I didn’t do a public thing. I didn’t want to.. I love her,” Gomez says.
After all the ups and downs Selena has been experiencing, she says she finally feels peaceful.
“The moment I turned 26, I felt 26. I feel very sure of where I am. I don’t feel erratic or emotionally unstable.. like I used to. It’s kind of understanding myself a little more. I don’t have myself all figured out, but it feels good,” Selena tells Elle.
