Selena Gomez will add a new job to her already impressive resumé: chef! The “Boyfriend” singer and RARE Beauty founder will be hosting her own cooking show for HBO. Keep reading below for more details!
What’s Selena’s show about?
According to HBO’s official press release, Selena’s new show will feature her trying new food recipes while she’s in quarantine. It’s meant to be a relatable experience for not just fans, but for everyone, as a lot of us have been practicing our cooking skills while being stuck inside.
Selena told HBO that: “I’ve always been very vocal about my love of food. I think I’ve been asked hundreds of times in interviews if I had another career, what would I do and I’ve answered that it would be fun to be a chef. I definitely don’t have the formal training though! Like many of us while being home I find myself cooking more and experimenting in the kitchen.”
Apparently during each episode, while Selena is cooking from home, she will be joined by a different master chef. It’s during this time that viewers will get tips and tricks, anecdotes, as well as mentions of how to help food-related charities – which is something very important during these times.

The show does not have a title as of yet, but it will have 10 episodes. It’s an unscripted series that will not only star Selena, but also be produced by her. It’s her latest project that she’ll be producing, as in the past she’s worked on Netflix’s Thirteen Reasons Why and Living Undocumented.
While the show does not have a precise premiere date of as yet, it is set to debut on HBO Max this summer. So, looks like you’ll have a new show to binge! We can’t wait to see what Selena cooks up during her show!
