Reese Witherspoon is returning to her coveted role as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde 3! The actress mentioned the upcoming movie on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on May 20th.
“I loved playing that character and she’s so amazing. And I mean, if you guys want it, I guess I’ll do it!” Witherspoon said on the daytime talk show. She also shared that she’s been in meetings about the movie.
Witherspoon did not share details about the plot or who else will be joining her in Legally Blonde 3. The actress first confirmed the movie in June 2018 on Twitter. According to IMDb, Jessica Cauffiel and Alanna Ubach will be reprising their roles as Elle’s best friends, Margot and Serena.

In March 2016, Witherspoon shared the heartbreaking news on her Facebook page about the chihuahua who played Bruiser Woods. Sadly, the small dog passed away. It is unknown at this point if the role will be recast.
