Melissa Joan Hart explains what’s happening to her 90’s Nickelodeon show! According to E! News, Hart shared that she’s “busy on Netflix right now” and is putting her contract for the Clarissa Explains It All reboot on hold.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the No Good Nick star would still be playing Clarissa Darling in the new reboot. The only change would be that Darling is now a mother to a family of her own.
The creator of the show Mitchell Kriegman is said to be working on the reboot as well. In 2015, Kriegman wrote a novel Things I Can’t Explain: A Clarissa Novel, which served as a sequel to the 90’s show.
Hart also shared her thoughts on the new adaptation of Sabrina Spellman. She told E! News, that she loves how different Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is from Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Hart played Spellman on Sabrina the Teenage Witch from 1996 to 2003.
In February 2018, Hart told The Hollywood Reporter that she had no interest in rebooting Sabrina The Teenage Witch. She did add that Clarissa Explains It All could be “explored again” because the series was open-ended.
