Lori Loughlin Sitcom Canceled Because of ‘American Idol’

  • by

Lori Loughlin was part of a brand new comedy series on the ABC Network over 10 years ago back in 2007 called In Case of Emergency.   Never heard of it?  Neither did we.

The sitcom never stood a chance as it was put up against the very popular singing competition, ‘American Idol‘ says Lori Loughlin.  She posted a photo of the cast on Instagram today saying, “I loved this show so much. Incredible cast & very funny. Sadly @abcnetwork put us up against American Idol. We didn’t stand a chance.”

The series starred David Arquette, Lori Loughlin, Greg Germann, Jonny Silverman, and Kelly Hu.  According to imdb.com, the show was about, “A group of thirtysomethings who all went to the same high school are reunited and realize their lives didn’t turn out as planned.”  In Case of Emergency ran for only one season with 13 episodes in 2007.

We dug up an old TV promo for the upcoming show on YouTube.  Watch now:
