Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel has a new movie premiering this month called Ships in the Night: A Martha’s Vineyard Mystery. The film reunites Jesse Metcalfe and Sarah Lind for a third time as this is the latest installment in the Martha’s Vineyard Mystery series. Ships in the Night: A Martha’s Vineyard Mystery Plot + Cast
Ships in the Night: A Martha’s Vineyard Mystery follows retired detective Jeff Jackson (Jesse Metcalfe) and Dr. Zee Madieras (Sarah Lind) as they team up once again to solve another crime. This time, a gallery owner was murdered, and it’s connected to the theft of an important sculpture: Boat on Wind. When the case takes the duo to Boston, where Jeff was shot on duty, one of his old friends gives them a lead to follow. But, it may uncover a bigger scheme. Can they solve the case – and still manage to jumpstart their relationship in the process?
Jesse Metcalfe is probably best known for his lead role in 2006’s John Tucker Must Die. He was a series regular on the late 90’s/early aughts soap Passions, and recurred on Desperate Housewives. He held main roles in NBC’s Chase and TNT’s Dallas reboot, not to mention competed on Dancing with the Stars. Currently, he portrays Trace Riley in Hallmark’s Chesapeake Shores, a role he’s originated since 2016.
Sarah Lind is a Canadian actress best known for her roles on Edgemont and True Justice. She’s guest starred on episodes of Psych, Reaper, Arctic Air, and Fargo. The Martha’s Vineyard Mystery series is her most recent role, as she portrayed Zee in the two previous movies: A Beautiful Place to Die and Riddled with Deceit.
Eric Keenleyside, Chelsea Hobbs, and Sunita Prasad also reprise their roles as Chief Madieras, Jackie Shawl, and Britt Prajna, respectively.
