It may barely be fall, but February is going to be one of the most talked about months thanks to the latest Superbowl announcement. The performers for the 2020 Halftime Show were just revealed, and we’ve got all the details for you below!
Who’s performing at this year’s Superbowl Halftime Show?
Superstar singers Jennifer “JLo” Lopez and Shakira are the two ladies who will take the stage on February 2. Both starlets announced the news on social media, taking to Instagram to drop hints before the big reveal.
Shakira posted a snapshot of partially obscured Jennifer; and JLo did the same for Shakira on her own Instagram. The two then followed their posts with the official promo photo, which features both of them in full glam, ready to sing their hearts out. The official sponsor of the Superbowl’s Halftime Show, Pepsi even took to social media to congratulate the women. Talk about girl power!
Any other details?
This super bowl game, stylized as SBLIV, represents the 54th Superbowl. It will take place at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida on Sunday February 2, 2020. Jay-Z’s company Roc Nation partnered with the NFL earlier this year to consult on future music gigs, including the famed Halftime Show.
February 2 also happens to be Shakira’s birthday. The 42 year old will turn 43 – safe to say this will be quite the birthday present! Her co-headliner, JLo was rumored to have been a part of the 2020 show earlier this month, as gossip flew while she was promoting Hustlers. Apparently Jennifer had to play coy – guess her wish to “love to do it” came true!
They will follow in the footsteps of last year’s performers Maroon 5, Big Boi, and Travis Scott. Other prior acts have included: Beyonce, Katy Perry, and Lady GaGa. We cannot wait to see these two women give one epic performance! Be sure to tune in on Sunday, February 2 to see Jennifer Lopez and Shakira in action on CBS!
