Only a couple weeks after announcing their Laguna Beach podcast, Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti already have their first major guest. The Hills: New Beginnings and The Hills alum Jason Wahler will be featured on an upcoming episode of their podcast Back to the Beach with Kristin and Stephen. What could Jason Wahler talk about with Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti on the podcast?
Some might not know this, but before The Hills and its later spinoff, Jason Wahler was actually first featured on Laguna Beach. He was a minor fixture in season 2 when he began hooking up with cast member Lauren Conrad. The two were an item for a little while, before Jason kissed his ex-girlfriend Jessica at a fashion show, and Lauren was understandably upset – she saw them do it!
Safe to say things didn’t end great for the two. Although, they did eventually reconcile on The Hills and gave their relationship another try. While Jason didn’t interact with Stephen Colletti or Kristin Cavallari a ton during Laguna Beach, they’ve all been on each other’s reality shows over the years.
If you recall, Stephen guested on an episode of The Hills with Lauren; Kristin made an appearance on The Hills: New Beginnings in season 2, which Feeling the Vibe covered in 2021. Jason has been featured in all 3 shows: Laguna Beach, The Hills, and The Hills: New Beginnings. Kristin gets this same distinction as well. Perhaps one thing they’ll discuss is why Stephen didn’t make a cameo on The Hills: New Beginnings.
If each episode of their podcast corresponds with the season order, then it would be a little while before Jason’s episode would be live. But, since they’ve already recorded it, maybe they’ll do an overview of his second season, or give fans some behind the scenes facts that they didn’t know. After all, there have been plenty of questions surrounding the “reality” part of MTV’s Laguna Beach and The Hills. We’re sure there will be a fun mix of nostalgia and current life updates on the podcast.

Jason shared a story to his Instagram, writing: “#lagunabeach reunion…” featuring a classic mirror selfie. Later on, Stephen posted an IG story featuring Jason, writing: “Great catching up w/@jasonwahler @dearmediastudio @kristincavallari.” As you can see from the stories below, Jason and Stephen are across from each other, while it’s presumed that middle microphone belongs to Kristin, since Stephen tagged her in the story.
Jason also posted a photo of the trio to his Instagram with the fun caption: “up to no good.” Kristin actually posted the photo too, tagging Franklin, Tennessee as the location. So, it looks like they’re recording in or nearby her house. Seeing their smiles also means they probably had a ton of fun, so we’re sure this episode will be very popular with fans.
