Calling all Wildcat fans!
Joshua Bassett, 17, has been cast in the lead role of “Ricky” for Disney’s ‘High School Musical: TV Series.‘
Since the lead role of HSM movies was Troy played by Zac Efron, fans are wondering who Ricky is.
Ricky is a cynical and charming high school junior who wants to win back his ex-girlfriend Nini.
“Joshua’s interpretation of the Ricky character was brilliant…The audience is going to love watching this charismatic young actor put his stamp on this next chapter of the ‘High School Musical’ franchise” said Gary Marsh, president and chief creative officer, Disney Channels Worldwide.
10 episodes were ordered of the HSM: TV Series.
