Wyatt Pike Leaves ‘American Idol’
At the start of the show American Idol host, Ryan Seacrest announced that Wyatt Pike had dropped out of the competition even in spite of getting through to the Top 16 the night before. The reason was undisclosed.
Fans on Twitter sounded off about Wyatt leaving the competition. Paul commented, “It’s sad that WyattPike had to drop out. #AmericanIdol“

American Idol Contestants React to Top 12
The first contestant who was called to the center of the stage and made it through was Casey Bishop. She was thrilled when Ryan Seacrest told her she was in the Season 19 Top 12! Prior to their first live show, she posted a black and white photo of herself singing on the Idol stage. “our first live show is tonight guys!!!! tune in 8pm EST/ 5PM PST ♡” she said. Her fellow contestant Beane was one of the first to comment “living legend,” he said.
Cassandra Coleman wrote on Instagram that she could only hope to make it into the Top 10/12. Her wish came true! “What a blessing it would be to make it to the top 10/12 tomorrow night. I AM SO EXCITED for the song I have prepared!!!!! BUT REGARDLESS, what. an. honor to have made it this far. Wow. Never in my wildest dreams..
She continued, “I feel like I keep saying the same things over and over because I’m continually shocked.. but I do know this: My mentality is in a much better and healthier place than it’s ever been before and I’m ready to get going. Thank you for bringing me this far my lovely friends. 💛.”
Alyssa Wray took on the Whitney Houston classic, “Greatest Love of All.” She belted it out and gave it her all! Ryan Seacrest mentioned that Alyssa had received a tweet from one of her idols – Jennifer Hudson. “Girl you have a big instrument, make them wait for it,” Hudson told the American Idol hopeful.
Katy Perry also praised Alyssa in her critic – “from artist to artiste,” she exclaimed.
