What Will the Show Be About and What Can We Expect From It?
The TV series picks up almost 15 years after the original High School Musical movie aired, and will follow students and teachers at East High as they put on their school’s first-ever musical. Friendships will be tested, romances will blossom, and rivalries will battle on as they all gear up for the big opening night.
Fans can expect a variety of musical numbers, from reimagined HSM movie classics to brand-new songs. There will be 10 episodes of this new series, and they will be available on Disney’s very own streaming service called Disney+ (which is expected in late 2019). Filming has officially begun this month and takes place in Salt Lake City, Utah at the real-life location known as East High School.
We cannot wait to see the revamped rendition of HSM when High School Musical: The Musical premieres! We can bet it will delight old and new fans alike!
