Bridgit Mendler and Ashley Tisdale took a snack break from filming Merry Happy Whatever to celebrate National Donut Day with some coffee and donuts. As Feeling The Vibe reported last April, the actresses will be co-starring in a new Christmas themed Netflix series together. The Netflix series is about a father who must handle his family and the stress that come with the holidays.
Last month, Tisdale shared a photo of her script on Instagram, with the caption, “Here we go!!! #merryhappywhatever @netflix“. According to Deadline, Tisdale’s character, Kayla, is going through a recent separation from her husband and is trying to figure out what to do next.
She also shared a first day of filming photo with her fellow castmastes of the show. Tisdale even made sure to tweet her thoughts after the first day of filming.
Mendler has also been sharing photos of the upcoming show. On May 21st, she shared a photo sitting with Tisdale and her other co-star Siobhan Murphy. You may recognize Murphy from as her role as Cleo on The Bold Type. Murphy and Tisdale will be playing Mendler’s sisters on the show.
Murphy posted a photo on her Instagram in a maroon Christmas sweater, captioning it, “The first episode of @merryhappywhatevernetflix is done and I gratefully retire this turtleneck which was itchy and hot af. Very excited for the next festive sweater in episode 2.” She will be playing Patsy on the show.
Also, congratulations are in order. Bridgit Mendler announced her engagement to her longtime boyfriend this past April. Find out how he proposed!
‘Merry Happy Whatever’ will be available on Netflix in November 2019. It will consist of eight episodes. Will you be watching this show? Tweet us your thoughts @feelingthevibe!
