And the Golden Globe goes to…The 75th Annual Golden Globes was hosted on Sunday, January 7th 2018, and honored the greatest names and movies in Hollywood of 2017. The award show was hosted in Beverly Hills, California beginning at 5:00 p.m. PST / 8:00 p.m. EST on NBC.
Taking the award for the Best Actor for comedy or musical goes to James Franco. Franco starred in ‘The Disaster Artist’ and took the Golden Globe for his striking comedic performance in the film. During his acceptance speech, Franco thanks Tommy Wiseau, the man he played in his role in The Room, and his equally famous younger brother Dave Franco. James gives some brotherly love to his younger Franco, “I love him more than anything. Thank you to my mother for giving him to me.”

Gal Gadot and Dwayne Johnson duo present the first award of the night for Best Actress in a limited series or movie. The Golden Globe award for Best Actress goes to Nicole Kidman for her role in Big Little Lies. In her acceptance speech Kidman touches on the significance of her abused character that it is representing a real issue and the impact of the Big Little Liars can cause change in our society.
Taking the award for the Best Original Song goes to a blockbuster hit musical that hit theaters only a few months ago before being nominated for a Golden Globe award. The Greatest Showman takes the award for Best Original Song, but the writers Benj Pasek and Justin Paul were not shy to this award because the talented twosome were awarded Best Original Song last year for City of Stars in the musical film La La Land.
