She’s working with an edgy sound and look. Let’s check out “Over It.”  This is the saying
that became popular with Laguna Beach, Kristin’s famous line, “I’m so over it.” 
Does it have the same meaning?

A ballad sound to a song where a girl is telling a guy she’s done with him.  How different is that? 
She’s showing that it’s not taking over her, but instead she’s in control and over just about 
everything that used to blind her.  She feels that this guy dragged her down and knocked her 
self – esteem.  Pretty ironic that she sings in a “love song” format of music, meanwhile it is not a 
romantic one, but instead a more empowering one.  We think that this song is going to catch on as
it has been doing and might bring more of this type of music with lyrics of this style to music in 2007. 
The main part of the catch-iness of this song?  The chorus where Kat’s voice goes higher in the chorus.
