QUESTIONS
Do
you have any
siblings?
Yes
I have one younger sister.
Who
are your role models?
I’d
love to be a major label president like Clive Davis,
so I’d say
he’s one of my role models.
When
did you begin singing?
Well I've been singing for as long as I can remember, but I
started
trying to pursue a singing career when I was 12 or 13. And I
started
learning how to write and produce music around that time too.
Have
you had any acting roles at all?
Yeah, I've been in a few movies actually. And I've done commercials
and stuff. But my main focus is music. Acting is just something
that's
fun to do on the side.
We
see that you have your own record
label. What made you start it
and what goals do you have for this label?
Well it
started
out as a production company, JayRo
Productions. At
the time, I had a business partner and we had started an
independent
label together, but then we had a big falling out. So since I was
already
producing all of the artists signed to our joint label on JayRo
Productions,
I just turned it into a production label. I eventually want the label
to
become a mini-major, where you sign all of your own artists and
release
them, but then you have a major label distributing and promoting
the
albums released through your own label.
Do
you have your own
separate studio? What types of artists do you
want on your label?
Yeah, I've had my own studio for about a year now. Right now I
have
two other artists signed, one's a pop/r&b girl group and the
other is
a
dance-pop artist. I guess it would be considered a top 40 label,
like
most major labels.
What
are some of your singing career goals?
Well obviously I'd like my album to be a huge success and I'd
like
to do a national tour and everything. There's always a
possibility
that a major label will sign me based on my independent album
sales, so that's kind of cool.
What
are three words
that you would say describe you?
Dedicated, outgoing, and fun.
Please
tell us about the CD you plan on
releasing. When do u plan on releasing that and what type of
music will
be on it?
My debut
album
is called "On My Own" and it's
going to be released
within the next month! I wrote and produced the entire album
myself,
and it's got a mix of pop/rock and r&b songs on it. The leading
single
is called "Leaving It All Behind". I think it's the kind of album
that
everyone can relate to and enjoy!

We wish you much success.
