Beach Boys
Bring Surf on in with Some Sleigh Ride Sounds
By, Kristen & Diana
December 15, 2008
The
Beach Boys brought some sunshine to the super cold
northeast. Wow was it definitely cold. Ok, well
maybe not the first night of the shows on December 4th where it was
approximately in the 40's or so, but right after that winter blew in
with quite the power. We're talking temperatures not even
getting out of the 20's. Yet in the theaters, it was anything
but a frigid winter day or night! The show opened with an energetic
version of "California Girls." This catapulted the crowd and the
concert into a really fun filled night. John
Cowsill truly entertained the crowd with his amazing drumming talents
and stand out voice. There was such an excitement in everyone
as they listened to his renditions of "Darlin'" with his signature
vocalizations and the audience participation song of "Help Me
Rhonda." Some other highlights included Christian Love's
performance of "Good Vibrations" which had a nice spice and edge to it,
Randell's beautiful voice in "Warmth of the Sun" that will melt your
heart, Bruce's solo in "Wendy" a rarely heard song with such a great
beat, and Scott's fantastic solo of "Ballad of Ole Betsy" The
crowd loved the feeling of the California sun and surf brought out here
as could be told by the way they were all dancing in the
aisles. So for all who braved the cold and took in the
concerts they had the chance to get a taste of summer right before
Christmas!
